Accurate, open and free mobility information.
This is the platform of the Directorate General of Traffic Traffic (DGT) which integrates, standardizes and provides accurate, open and free mobility information.
As a pioneering public service which is a benchmark in Europe, it is available to all actors that make up the mobility ecosystem (which offer and obtain information):
- Town councils
- Vehicle manufacturer platforms
- Public transport platforms
- Public transport platforms
- Connected devices: V16, connected cone, V2, etc.
- Mobility application providers
- Actors and fleet managers
- Etc.
DGT, as a national access point for traffic and mobility created in accordance with European mandate, makes traffic and mobility information available to road users (drivers, pedestrians, fleets, etc.) in real time in order to ensure safer and more sustainable and intelligent mobility. In this context, DGT 3.0 is configured as a data subset of the NAP in order to be communicated and displayed.
GOALS

- Reduce accidents, warning the user in real time of any risks that they may come across on their journey.
- Improve traffic flow and efficiency in operations, making it easier for drivers to take better decisions.
- Contribute to emission-free mobility, improving access to information on Low Emission Zones (LEZs).
The Connected Vehicle Platform fully contributes to the Agenda 2030 goals, specifically to goals 3, 7 and 11, all while following a mobility and road safety plan, reducing the number of deaths, providing access to safe, sustainable and accessible transport systems, paying particular attention to the needs of people in vulnerable situations, pedestrians and cyclists.
